Contra Costa Midrasha joins with teens from its partner Midrashot campuses in Berkeley, Oakland and Tri-Valley/Tri-Cities (Pleasanton) for amazing weekends at Walker Creek Ranch - forging stronger Jewish identities through friendship, community and fun!

Kesher - 10th, 11th & 12th Grade Retreats
Midrasha retreats are a place to: make new friends, hang-out, dance, sing, talk, debate, pray, stargaze, play ultimate frisbee and more! This year we are doing retreats as a bigger community at Walker Creek Ranch. This site provides ample space for outdoor and indoor activities, plus more time with friends and staff.
- Be in a safe place to explore, experience and experiment with different ways of being Jewish while discussing the tough questions facing teens today.
- Celebrate Shabbat and feel the warmth of the Havdalah circle.
- Leave the hassles and pressures of daily life behind, enjoying time in nature at Camp Newman with other Jewish teens from all over the East Bay.

Dates for 2011-2012 Midrasha Retreats:
December 9-11, 2011: Midrasha Fall Retreat #1 of 3 (9-12th grade only)
February 3-5, 2012: Midrasha Winter Retreat #2 of 3 (8-12th grade)
April 20-22, 2012: Midrasha Spring Retreat #3 of 3 (8-12th grade)
Cost*: Retreats have been reformulated and repriced for the 2011-12 year. Here is the new breakdown:
1 retreat = $375
2 retreats = $700
3 retreats = $980
*Retreats can be paid with a payment plan. Financial Aid and Scholarships are broadly available and the application process is simple. Also, other payment arrangements are possible. Gesharim - 8th Grade - Retreats:

Kesher - 10th, 11th & 12th Grade - Retreats:
10th, 11th and 12th grade students are given three retreats during the 2009-2010 year. Closely linked with the "Kesher" learning that happens weekly at Midrasha, the retreats deepen the students' connections with Israel, Spirituality, each other and their educators.
