CCM's (mini) Better Together Project
The B'Yachad Fellowship is CCM's mini Better Together intergenerational chevruta (partnership) project with elders in our community on Zoom, happening over a four-week period this Summer 2020.
About the Project:
Are you looking for ways to make a difference in our community this summer? Want to help elders who live nearby who also feel isolated during the quarantine? Did you find yourself feeling lonely during this pandemic? If so, you can imagine the loneliness of elder citizens from the East Bay who are members of our partner synagogues. Join us this summer to connect, grow, and laugh with a group of elders.
The project this summer has two parts. First, you'll join a weekly cohort of four sessions of B'Yachad Fellows with other teens to learn about living as an elder today and to design each week's conversation with our partner elders. Second, you pick between a Sunday or Monday option to converse over Zoom with a small group of teens and elders, learning about each other. This project gives you 10 hours toward community service requirements.
Program fee is $36. No one turned away for lack of funds.
