About the Event:
Teens in 10-12th grade (and their parents) are invited to this afternoon of speakers and workshops designed to help teens grapple with Israel-on-campus issues, conflict resolution and all the ways to engage in Jewish life on campus.  Featuring keynote speaker Mark Yudof, former University of California President the afternoon will also include breakout seminars with AIPAC, Hillel, Stand With Us, Jewish Family and Community Services and other Jewish teen educators.

Lunch will be provided.

Not only is the event free, any teen who attends (RSVP required) will receive a $20 Starbucks gift card at the end of the afternoon.  Parents are welcome, a donation of $18 is requested to cover lunch.

Why this event is important for parents and teens to attend:
"I have a son in college at University of Oregon and a senior still in high school. Having a Jewish community in college - my son felt like he made really deep connections with other Jews on campus.  They care about similar things and express their Jewishness in a positive way.  By surrounding himself with lots of Jewish friends - it's made a difference.  My son splits Shabbat between Hillel, Chabad, and AEPi (the Jewish fraternity) it has cemented his Jewish identity.  It's really important to have this support in college."
- Julie Candau, Jewish teen parent's perspective
